International Space Station Transit? Nope! Jupiter Up Next
I was lucky enough to have a second-within-a-month ISS transit of the moon viewable from the driveway observatory just before 3:00 am this morning. The only problem is that it wasn't going to be viewable.
The sky had other plans as thunderstorms started to roll through about that time. I knew it would be a wash out the night before, but the storm made sure I was up for it anyway.
The forecast for the coming week shows a mostly clear night on Monday, followed by clear skies over the weekend. Since I'm a working stiff, the Nikon will probably go out Monday night to catch meteors.
Jupiter reaches opposition on May 8th (cloudy forecast yet again), so it will be a good target for next weekend.
